"Fish with a US Captain on a 32 foot boat for 800? That's a deal!"

Quepos FishingHi, my name is Captain John, I am originally from Texas, and I love fishing! If you are thinking about travelling south to have the best fishing trip of your life, than I think you just found what you are looking for! There is no greater feeling than seeing that big gold reel screaming as the line gets ripped off, while a huge Marlin or Pacific Sailfish is seen flipping and flying with that line in his mouth! I visited here only once, and then I just had to move here full time. I started this charter company to help pay for my fishing addiction, so if you want to fish with someone who is just as excited, or maybe even more excitied, about fishing as you, I'm your man. I love fishing, I love teaching people how to fish, and I go out everyday looking for the best day of fishing ever! Costa Rica Sailfish Costa Rica Sailfish

Had an awesome trip out today! We had 7 nice sailfish hooked up (released 5) and then at the end of the day while we were talking about how great of a day it was, we hit this really nice black marlin! Interesting story, the mates usually sit up top in the tower so they can watch the spread. When this Marlin came up, Mike ran down the stairs so fast his shoes came off and one went in the water. Mike wears those foam sandal shoes, so it started floating and went back in the spread. The Marlin was following a bird teaser we had set up and Mike starts throwing out the pitchbait, when Mike's shoe passes the Marlin and the Marlin nails the SHOE!! Well it took off with the shoe, and we had thought we had lost it (the marlin that is, the shoe was dead and we knew it), but thank God he came back and nailed a nice little islander we had in the middle! We are all laughing though, and tomorrow we are thinking about putting a hook in the other shoe and seeing what happens!

Costa Rica Black Marlin Costa Rica Roosterfish Costa Rica Sailfish

Billfishing has been really hot! Went out today and had double digit shots at sailfish and also nailed a really nice Black Marlin! Been a great Dorado bite as well, just overall a ton of fun! Inshore bite on my smaller boat has also been awesome, lots of Roosterfish and some Snapper coming out. I'll let a couple of happy customers finish this one out, here's a pair of emails I just received:

"Thanks for some great days out this Feb. We totaled 8 sails, a 50lb Dorado and a 200 lb. black marlin, and had a great time!"

"Hi John, I just wanted to thank you for an awesome trip. My wife and I were very impressed with everything. We caught sailfish, dorado, snook, red snapper, roosterfish, jack crevalle, and even a small tuna. The second day offshore was a lot more exciting. We each landed two sailfish plus the dorado. The last day of inshore was exciting too. I think we caught over 10 roosterfish and they were almost all big ones. If we ever make it back down to Costa Rica again we would definitely go fishing with you again and I would also recommend you to anyone we talk to here who is interested in going there!"

QUEPOS FISHING FORECAST

makaira indica Quepos Costa Rica

Finally, Marlin and Tuna season is upon us! Here in June July and August are when the big Marlin come out and we are so looking forward to great Marlin action! Starting in May until late August, Costa Rica is the best places in the world to snag a nice Black Marlin. There should also be some striped and blue Marlin out as well, and it is always an exciting time! We should also start seeing the Yellow Fin Tuna schools as they make their way up from South America! This year we have tons of new tricks in addition to the old ones so we should have some really great numbers! We just added 8 large tuna tubes to the boat, allowing us to hold a ton of live bonita. Bonita are the favorite food of any billfish, so this will give us a huge advantage when we come across the floating debris! In order to find this debirs, we just installed a 25KW Furuno 6 foot Open Array Radar. This is the biggest, most powerful bird spotting tool available today! It gives us a constant map of all the boats within 10 miles, and more importantly, all the schools of birds within 6. Since the birds hang out on top of the Tuna, we can scan a 12 nautical mile circle as we troll for the Marlin, and the results are going to be awesome! We have some new FinNor spinning gear on board for throwing poppers at the Tuna as well, so we are going to have an awesome year! We also added a new trolling gear to the boat, so trolling live bait is going to be much more effective. The bottom bite is also becoming famous in May-August, so we expect to use our new Tuna Tubes with our High End Furuno Sonar and start nailing the big Amberjacks and Cubera Snappers! Speaking of live bait, the inshore bite is going to be crazy! This new live bait trolling gear will allow us to troll our live bait inshore much more quietly and slowly, making for some awesome Roosterfish! We still have all our old tricks as well, with the high end Furuno Sonar, $10,000 dollars in sound deadening, downriggers, and full line of Penn, Shimano and Avet reels, just waiting for those big Roosterfish! May-August is going to be awesome!!!

Quepos Fishing
Quepos is the premier fishing spot in all of Costa Rica. Located on the Pacific side, in the center of the country's coast, we have the perfect position to hit various fishing hotspots, often on the same fishing grounds as charter boats from Los Suenos and Dominical. The Pacific in front of Quepos is also sheltered by the Osa and Guanacaste peninsulas, making Quepos the smoothest place to fish in Costa RIca. Waves are rarely over 3 feet, and from November to April rarely over 1 foot. That makes Quepos perfect for the firsttimer, or even a Sportfishing pro who doesn't want to fo home banged up!

Quepos Sportfishing / Charter Boats
Quepos has an awesome charter fleet. There are quite a few nice charter boats fishing in Quepos with good captains. We are friends with everybody, and if you are ooking for something bigger or smaller, let us give you our discount and get you out on the water for the agency price! I would love to get you setup with anything at all here, let me know what you need and I can make it happen!

Costa Rica SportFishing
Costa Rica is not only home to great fishing, but is a perfect place for your next family vacation! Apart from the great beaches and fishing, there are tons of different climates and elevations, with volcanoes, Cloud Forests, and raging white water rivers. In aspect to fishing, the Pacific side is known for its Marlin and Pacific Sailfish, while the Atlantic side is where you find the tarpon Tarpon. We chose to fish the Pacific because I love and specialize in fishing Marlin and Sailfish.

Manuel Antonio Hotels
Located right next to Manuel Anotnio national Park and Beaches, Quepos is home to the best sportfishing anywhere. While you are here, no reason not to try out one of the cliff dwelling-ocean view hotels. Let's make this an unforgettable trip, hotels here have the best views in the world at prices that are on par or lower than most average American hotels! Ater all, that's why we vacation in Latin America!

Costa Rica Sportfishing
Although there are no fishing seasons and catch limits in Costa Rica, we still don't like to kill everything we get on the line. We have a strict release all billfish policy, that includes releasing both sailfish and Marlin. We do like fish eaters on board though, and we do allow customers to keep meat gamefish. Expect to have a good chance at catching Dorado, Yellow Fin Tuna, Amberjack or Snapper that you can bring to local restaurants after the trip.

Quepos Fishing Adventures
We are not a booking agency and make our money as a Charter fleet. I personally own and drive the boat on this website, and you are communicating directly with the captain of the trip. There are tons of other people out there selling trips at a higher price, so just be careful. Even if you don't book here, make sure you book directly with the boat owner so you don't get overcharged. Always ask the person you book with if they will be driving the boat. If they aren't, there is a good chance they are just upselling it.
